We will start accepting grill applications for our 2024 season on February 1, 2024 at 8 AM.

Program Details

  1. Program is available April 21st through October 20th, 2024.
  2. Sign up for your date using the "Book Community Grill Event" button below and supply all necessary documentation.
  3. All food is purchased through Sendik’s and will be pre-cooked and ready for your team at the grills.
  4. Your team will staff the grills and have the chance to interact directly with Sendik’s shoppers.
  5. Your school or organization will collect all proceeds from the sales.

Requirements:

  • Nonprofit organization
  • Non-profit 501(c)(3) documentation
    • Tax Exempt Certificates are acceptable for school districts only
  • All food must be purchased from Sendik’s Food Markets (at cost)
    • Beginning perishable food quantities will be entered by Sendik’s
    • Condiments are supplied to you at no charge, as well as most non-food supplies you will need (the grill, propane, coolers, tables, napkins, etc)!
    • Sendik's will set menu food offerings and retail pricing to assist the organization in optimizing profitability
    • In order to maintain consistency across events, there will be no additions, exclusions, or substitutions to the menu offerings
    • Groups may offer for sale additional fundraising items (shirts, stickers, tickets to events, etc.) related to their organization (excludes any food/drink items)
  • Minimum of three (3) volunteers necessary to participate
  • At least one (1) volunteer must be 18 years or older
  • All volunteers must sign the Community Grill Program Waiver on the day of the event

On the Day of Your Grill Event

  • Volunteers should check in at the Service Desk at 10:15am
    • We know you’re excited to get grilling, however we discourage arriving any earlier than 10:15am, the store staff may not be ready to assist you
    • 3-4 volunteers is suggested, at least one (1) must be 18 years old or older.
      • Volunteers that operate the Grill or other heating equipment must be 18 years of age
    • Waivers will be handed out and must be signed by all volunteers as they arrive
    • Volunteers should verify with store management the starting quantities of their food pre-order
  • Sendik’s will provide a $100 cash loan and a cash box for the purpose of making change.
    • Volunteers must count and verify the $100 loan before taking it away from the Service Desk
  • A store team member will bring all equipment & supplies to the grill area, and provide guidance on how the area should be setup
